Beschreibung
Many students face difficulties with concentration during studying due to noise, distractions, or unsuitable learning environments. This negatively affects their memory, academic performance, and mental well-being. Despite the importance of effective study habits, most students do not know which conditions help them learn best.
FocusSound is a simple and accessible digital platform designed to help students improve concentration and memory through personalized sound environments. The platform begins with a short test that analyzes how a student best retains information — in silence, with music, or with background sounds such as nature.
Based on the results, the system provides personalized recommendations and offers a “focus mode” that includes a timer and optimized sound settings. Students can track their progress over time and see how different environments affect their learning outcomes.
The target group is students aged 12 to 18, who are actively studying and often experience difficulties with focus and stress.
This idea contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by supporting Quality Education and Good Health and Well-being. It helps students develop effective learning strategies, reduce stress, and improve academic performance.
The solution is realistic and can be implemented as a mobile or web application with basic features in the first stage and further development over time.
Expertise
I am a student interested in learning, psychology, and improving study methods. I have basic knowledge of how concentration and memory work, and I am motivated to explore how different environments affect learning performance.
I can support other organizations by sharing ideas, participating in research or testing, and helping to develop simple and practical solutions for students. I am also interested in teamwork and learning new skills in project development.
