Beschreibung

Orzo is a community-powered, AI-enhanced platform designed to revolutionize how teachers access professional development, mentorship, and classroom-ready resources—especially in under-resourced and early-career settings. Each year, millions of teachers spend countless unpaid hours searching for lesson plans, training materials, and classroom strategies—often resorting to outdated PDFs or expensive professional development programs that don’t reflect real classroom realities. Many lack access to experienced mentors or quality instructional support. This is especially true in rural districts, Title I schools, and countries with shrinking education budgets. Orzo solves this by combining three core elements: 1. A creator marketplace where top-performing teachers can upload and sell their best lesson plans, assessments, and teaching strategies—earning passive income while supporting others. 2. An AI Co-Teacher that uses retrieval-augmented generation to recommend hyper-personalized content based on a teacher’s grade level, subject, curriculum standards, and student needs. 3. A mentorship and feedback loop where experienced educators support new ones with curated content, micro-credentials, and community interaction. This creates a self-reinforcing cycle: experienced teachers share what works, newer teachers gain access and save time, and every interaction improves Orzo’s AI and search engine. Schools gain access to affordable, scalable training while tracking usage data and instructional growth. Unlike traditional one-time professional development programs, Orzo grows smarter and more effective with use—making it a long-term, affordable solution. It’s built to serve not just U.S. educators, but any learning environment globally where teachers need support. Our pilot will launch with five school districts (including Title I schools), targeting 10,000 users and validating three KPIs: lesson quality ratings, teacher time saved, and AI personalization effectiveness. By empowering educators to teach better, learn faster, and support each other, Orzo bridges the equity gap in education—and builds a future where every teacher, no matter where they are, has access to the tools and people they need to thrive.

Expertise

My expertise lies at the intersection of education, technology, and social entrepreneurship. I’ve led and co-founded initiatives focused on reducing inequality in access to college and professional opportunities, especially for underserved students and early-career educators. I have experience in building scalable digital platforms, designing user-centric learning tools, and developing go-to-market strategies that align with impact-focused goals. Through Orzo, I bring a deep understanding of the challenges that teachers—especially those in underfunded or isolated environments—face daily. I can support other organizations by sharing insights on how to use AI ethically and effectively in education, how to build communities around shared knowledge, and how to create incentive systems that reward expertise and collaboration. Whether it’s helping NGOs scale their teacher training efforts, co-developing localized learning content, or supporting pilot programs with school districts and ministries of education, I’m committed to cross-sector partnerships that improve educational equity and empower educators worldwide.
