Dorado evens the playing field for admission at American universities. It’s a one-stop shop for anything college admissions-related, creating value by aggregating a student’s college plan while bringing costs down with AI.
As a mix of AI chatbots and productivity tools, Dorado aims to eliminate the high barriers that prevent less fortunate students from achieving their dreams. It acts as a hub from which they can base all their activities, eliminating the information deficit and putting them in a prime position to succeed.
To gain insight into my users, Dorado will ask questions to understand how to best assist each specific client, gathering information such as age, interests, and academic background.
From there, users will be transported to the hub of the app. This region will serve as the nerve center, updating users on upcoming information and informing them of their next steps every minute of every day.
From the home page, users will be able to access the chatbots and productivity tools.
Users will be able to explore jobs on the Careers tab, find relevant classes on the Courses tab, and discover the right activities and competitions in the Extracurriculars tab. Dorado will be able to weave these extracurriculars into cogent, extended projects in the Long-Term Plans tab. These plans can be viewed and altered on the Calendar tab. If users have any questions, they can ask the bot in the Advice tab, which is trained partially on proprietary data.
As users approach college applications, they can compare their resumes to those of other applicants using the Chancing tab. If they seek financial aid, they can use the Scholarships tab to match with the right programs. Finally, the Application Management tab will help craft the right story to put a bow on the user's journey.
All of this can be acquired for an order of magnitude less than what my competitors charge. I project that the service will cost $5-15 per user per hour. Due to the range of costs, I plan to conduct field testing to determine the optimal pricing for each subscription tier. I have little overhead right now, so I can price my service near the computing cost.
I am currently training the models to provide accurate and informative responses. My alpha testing will consist of the advice bot and the chancing bot. The other features will be added as I progress, but some may take longer to develop because they need to integrate with third parties.
Finally, I plan to expand my business beyond the U.S. I first want to extend into universities in the Anglosphere. Universities in these countries have a similar admissions process, and they are more attractive to students from across the world compared to equally prestigious schools in areas like East Asia. Then, I will go global.
In conclusion, Dorado helps students as they build their resumes and apply to college. I use AI to tailor the experience to each user and provide assistance whenever needed. Finally, by breaking with traditional pricing practices, I can offer rates that dramatically undercut my competitors and allow me to deliver true value to my clients.
Expertise
I am a student, so I do not have many skills to offer.
