Beschreibung
My idea is an AI-powered mobile app ("Community Health Guardian") that collects anonymous user reports and hospital data to create an early warning system for infectious diseases spreading at the local level. The app will allow individuals to report their symptoms and then suggest articles and resources that might relate to the reported symptoms. Users will get detailed information about illnesses (including symptoms, prevention, and treatment) and find the local health resources (such as testing or vaccination centers, clinics, health supply depots, and hospitals).
This app is primarily informative (providing information about illnesses and medical resources) to increase awareness of infectious diseases spreading locally. In addition to these preventive measures, AI will be trained to use the data it collects to improve its diagnoses and recommendations for those who are seeking medical advice and help. Thus, in addition to preventive and informative functions, it can play diagnostic and treatment-related roles as well.
"Community Health Guardian" will enhance health equity by: ensuring that underserved communities have equal access to life-saving disease information and resources, preventing outbreaks and hospital overcrowding, and ultimately building stronger, healthier communities.
Expertise
As a high school student and an aspiring doctor who is passionate about health equity, I bring in endless volunteer hours, my creativity, and communication skills to collaborate on app development and promotion. I'm hoping to become a public health advocate and engage with international agencies, public health NGOs, medical institutions (Cleveland, MAYO clinic etc.), and other medical agencies to establish partnerships and raise funds for the app.
