Beschreibung
PlastiBlock is a sustainable manufacturing business that converts plastic waste into durable interlocking bricks and paving blocks for construction use. The business addresses two major challenges in Malawi: increasing plastic pollution and the high cost of construction materials. By collecting, processing, and transforming plastic waste into usable building products, PlastiBlock creates an environmentally friendly alternative to cement-based materials.
The products are designed for non-structural applications such as fencing, walkways, landscaping, and community infrastructure. This ensures safety, compliance, and fast market adoption. The business operates within a circular economy model where waste is continuously reused as a resource, reducing environmental pollution while supporting affordable construction.
PlastiBlock also creates employment opportunities for local waste collectors and machine operators while contributing to sustainable urban development. The long-term goal is to scale into a regional green manufacturing enterprise supplying eco-friendly construction materials across Malawi and beyond.
