IdeeNSAMBU CORE: Smart Textiles for Energy-Efficient Living in Africa

NSAMBU CORE is developing hybrid textiles that combine locally sourced natural fibres from Angola with advanced technological materials to create fabrics with passive thermoregulation properties. These textiles adapt to the wearer's body temperature without requiring any external energy input. The product range includes clothing, bedding, and interior textiles designed for hot climates. By manufacturing locally in Angola, NSAMBU CORE shortens the supply chain, eliminates the energy footprint of textile imports, and creates a new industrial value chain rooted in African raw materials and ancestral knowledge about fibres. The startup is currently in the product development and intellectual property phase and will be presented internationally at the AIM Congress in Dubai in September 2026.
