#MEET Agro-forest business
This is a short interview we conducted with Emmanuel Swilla, the founder of “Agro-forest business”. If you like the concept of this idea and would like to vote for it, click HERE.
- What is your background? (Nationality, age, education, field of work).
I am Tanzanian aged 32 years old. I graduated Advanced Diploma in Accounts and Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and logistics management. I am working as Finance and Administration Assistant.
- Describe your idea or project in two sentences.
“Agro-forest business” is a business for planting trees to conserve nature and selling tree seedling and products of forest like timber and poles for different purposes. The business is important in today`s world because it gains in our SDGs on Climatic Action (13), Decent work and economic growth (8) and Partnership for the goals (17).
- What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?
Changing ideas through interaction with different members and networking.
- What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?
Because I need to change the world and inspire more young people to think about being employed themselves.
- Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.
I would like to have green world through environmental conservation. I will encourage the world to preserve nature to plant different trees like trees for businesses and those for fruits. Also I would like the community to plant flowers trees and alike plants to make the world more beautiful. Through those plants the world will benefit with natural foods, fruits, economic empowerment and macro and microorganism will be in preservative world, which will lead to increase oxygen and minimize destruction of ozone layer.
- What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?
To vote for me because my project is not just for business of a given community, it is for the world to change from where it is to the conservation world. The world we are going to conserve is not only for us, it is for the coming generation.
