This is a short interview we conducted with Alisi Francis, the creator of Fanchuz Bee-Apitherapy (Use of bee products to cure nutritional & health disorders). If you like this project and would like to vote for it, click here

1. Please, tell us a bit about yourself: where are you from and what is your background?

Alisi Francis, 32-year-old Bsc Holder in Geology, preparing myself to become the very best entrepreneur in modernized beekeeping business. I am an active beekeeper with over 3 years post NYSC experience gained within the Apiculture industry. I worked with Apiflora-Resources as an assistant Apiculturist with responsibilities on practical beehives operation and management. I have undergone training courses on Entrepreneurship and beekeeping with African Management Initiative and other organizations. My greatest motivation in beekeeping business is on its Apitherapy (the use of bee-products to cure nutritional and health disorders) and creating diversification in Agriculture through crop pollination. The nutritional and medicinal properties of honey bees cannot be overlooked in this 21st century. Honey-bees amount to 80% of all pollination of crops, ie. without honey bees services, more than a third of fruits and vegetables that human consumption will be lost. It means that every third bite of food we take was made possible by bees. I have saved lives, restore health among individuals and families with honey bees products (Propolis, Pollens, Venom, Wax).

2. Can you describe your idea or project in two sentences?

Fanchuz farms is a beekeeping farm and Apitherapy center was we use bee hive products to tackle health issues among rural dwellers.

3. How did you get your idea or concept?

Inspiration and when there was a need for what can enhance health in rural areas.

4. What is unique about your idea/project and how does it benefit mankind?

Quality product – produce raw un-denatured honey. This is achieved using modernized equipment in good operating condition. Eg propolis usually comprises of flavonoids and terpenoids which have many medicinal properties (hepto-protective, antitumor, anti-oxidative, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory) as royal jelly supports neurogenesis. The importance of honey is so numerous.
My products will solve:
• Nutritional needs – the purest digestible natural food and a very good energy booster.
• Medical and pharmaceutical needs – treatment of cancer and heart disease, immune system booster, enhances vitamin A, antiseptic – honey facilitates wounds. Fast healing due to its viscous consistency. Improves blood flow through fortification of blood formation. Parasite remover. For cough treatment etc.
• Cosmetics needs – beeswax is an ingredient for lipsticks,

5. Describe yourself as an entrepreneur in one sentence

I am an active beekeeper and apitherapist

6. How do you deal with people that doubt your abilities/initiatives?

Seeing is believing. they believe from other peoples testimony

7. Where does your passion lie?

Apitherapy (the use of bee-products to cure nutritional and health disorders)

8. What are you afraid of or what keeps you up at night?

Always want to create value

9. According to you, money is a synonym for.....

Value

10. If you could rid the world of three things, what would they be?

Good health, creativity, and value re orientation.

Impressive. I really appreciate the fact that your idea was inspired by the need for health in rural areas.

Being a young person I am quite interested in creating the world, I desire to see and live. I believe that if all young persons have this mind, we will surely recreate the world because we are the future generation. If we recreate our world now, tomorrow will live in the world we desire and our children will see the world in a different perspective from what we are presently seeing and living.
