#MEET Twincycler

This is a short interview we conducted with Amadi Godwin, the co-founder of “Twincycler”. If you like the concept of this idea and would like to vote for it, click HERE.

  • What is your background?

My name is Amadi Godwin. I'm a Nigerian and I hail from Ohafia local government area of Abia state. I'm the first son in the family of four wonderful children. I co-founded Twincycler- an innovative idea that help solve environmental problems at the age of 18 with my wonderful friend Quadri Tosin. Currently I'm a jambite as we are called here, hoping to gain admission to study International Studies and Diplomacy at the University Of Benin. In summary, I'm a young passionate social enthusiasts and entrepreneur that believes that the average African youth is the driving force for global impact.

  • Describe your idea or project in two sentences.

Twincycler uses a mobile app called "Waste Cycle" to collect recyclable waste from offices, schools, hotels, restaurants, households and event centers. Twincycler schedules a pick up date with the app user whenever their waste is due for collection. Twincycler package these waste and sell to different recycling companies both locally and across the border.

  • What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

I learn new things everyday here, also I have come across a good number of friends across the African continent. We share ideas together and discuss how we can make Africa a global village of innovations.

  • What motivates you to be an entrepreneur?

For me, I love what I'm doing as social entrepreneur and for the fact that my family and friends are in full support of this project. Also my goal is, through this project the greenhouse gas emissions that pollutes our environment will greatly reduce.

  • Imagine you have ‚supreme power’ to create and innovate: how would your world look like? What changes would you like to make in your community and/or in the world? Share your thoughts from a ‚supreme power’ and entrepreneur standpoint.

Good questions! I would love everyone to live in a World that has Zero emissions and pollution, making sure that there is less environmental problems caused by emissions and pollution from landfill and incinerator.

  • What would you say to potential voters who may be reading your interview?

Dear friends, I hope you've gone through the interview question s answers and have seen the need for us reason together and make meaning impact in our environment. Your vote will surely go a long way. Thank you!
