Nia Rakheja is the co-founder and CEO of Drift AI, a migrants’ rights advocate and feminist. She believes technology should give people more control over their lives, including the knowledge and support to act on their rights.

Drift builds trusted, localised AI for public institutions and law firms serving citizens. It is the first AI company to partner with the Industrie- und Handelskammer Berlin (IHK Berlin) to build the chamber’s first public AI product, which will help its 300,000 member companies understand how to recruit international talent.

The company has raised €327,000 across investment and grants and received the Tech Gala Diversity & Inclusion Award, presented by Berlin’s Vice Mayor Franziska Giffey.

Nia also volunteers her time at Drift’s public-interest migration platform, which is free to use and helps people understand their residency and citizenship options and find the right lawyer.
