Lester Golden teaches four courses to BBA students at Riga Business School: an intro survey course on the history, function (and dysfunction) of the limited liability corporation, behavioral investing and ancient and modern history survey courses.
He has been in the advertising business for 25 years, done channel check research for hedge funds and been a real estate investor in several countries–with both fortunate and unfortunate returns. He is fascinated by the sources of human error in financial decisionmaking, including his own (frequent) ones. He speaks six languages with variable fluency, including klein schlechtes Mark Twainische Gymnasium Deutsch and mother in law Russian. He is originally from New York and has lived in Spain and Portugal to watch fascist regimes die, Italy, France and Latvia.
