Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship Education & the Center for valuebased Business Education at the University Teacher College Vienna/Krems; Entrepreneurship & Business Educator at the Schumpeter Commercial College, Austria. Mr. Johannes Lindner is founder and head of the Initiative for Teaching Entrepreneurship Austria (www.ifte.at) and of the “eesi” Center for Entrepreneurship Education (www.eesi-impulszentrum.at), which is working on behalf of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education. He is an author of entrepreneurial, business and economic books and several journal articles. He was member of the Thematic Working Group on Entrepreneurship Education and Transversal Skills (Entrepreneurship Education) from DG Education – European Commission. 2012 he has received the Ashoka Fellowship (the first in Austria). He also teaches entrepreneurship education and business didactics at the University of Vienna and is founder of the Kitzbüheler Summeruniversity for Entrepreneurship Education.
Mr. Lindner was Lead Expert on behalf of KulturKontakt Austria in the Entrepreneurship VET-Project EcoNet. The EcoNet-project is an Austrian project within the frame of the European stability pact which was running 2000 – 2014 in 10 south-eastern-European countries. Johannes Lindner organises the annual Entrepreneurship Summit Conference Vienna, the Economics Seminar (VWL-Perspektiven Seminar) and the “Next Generation” – BA Idea and Businessplan Competion for Youth. He is the initiator of “Misch dich ein – the Debateclub” and the YouthStart European Entrepreneurship Award.
He is the lead expert of the “YouthStart Entrepreneurial Challenges” Program (www.youthstart.eu) and is involved in a large field research in Schools in Austria, Bulgaria, Luxembourg, Portugal and Slovenia. The “YouthStart Entrepreneurial Challenges are based on the reference framework for Entrepreneurship Competences and the TRIO Model for Entrepreneurship Education.
