Description
Detopsource is a circular economy technology venture focused on improving access to affordable devices while reducing electronic waste and creating economic opportunities.
In Nigeria, many people lack access to technology due to high costs, while thousands of usable devices are discarded every year. Detopsource addresses this gap by sourcing, repairing, and refurbishing devices, and reselling them at lower cost to underserved communities.
Beyond access, we integrate repair, digital, and entrepreneurial skills development, enabling individuals to participate in the value chain as technicians, resellers, and entrepreneurs.
Our model combines device sales, repair services, and capacity building, creating both economic and environmental value. We are building a scalable system that transitions from repair and refurbishment to local assembly and, ultimately, manufacturing.
By extending device lifecycles, reducing waste, and strengthening local capacity, Detopsource promotes sustainable consumption, job creation, and inclusive access to technology.
Expertise
I have practical experience in building and scaling a technology business focused on device sales, repair, and operations. As the founder of Detopsource, I have managed over ₦7,000,000 in working capital, served 300+ customers, and achieved a 50% repeat rate, demonstrating strong customer trust and operational efficiency .
My expertise includes supplier management, inventory control, customer relationship management, and business strategy within resource-constrained environments. I also have technical exposure from engineering and automation internships, which strengthens my understanding of systems and operations.
In addition, I have significant experience in mentorship and community engagement. I have mentored over 100 young women in STEM and led outreach initiatives supporting over 50 individuals, contributing to development and inclusion .
I can support other organizations by sharing practical insights on building and scaling circular economy models, setting up device repair and refurbishment systems, improving access to affordable technology, and designing community-based training and outreach programs. I also bring strong grassroots market understanding and experience in growing a startup from early traction to scale.
