The three main problems facing modern-day on-field treatment are that athletes play through major injuries, injuries are not diagnosed properly, and injuries are misdiagnosed This causes many issues such as: (1) Increased risk of Prolonged and adverse consequences, extending to potentially fatal outcomes over a period, (2) Reinjury of a body part that has not fully healed, leading to life-changing situations, (3) Athletes getting severe setbacks from return due to improper or unneeded treatment. The Vigil wristbands and app allow athletes to get diagnosed quicker and more accurately. It uses Samsung blood pressure detecting technology to tell when blood pressure spikes and when they happen are abnormal. The wristband has three beeps for three different stages of abnormality: Low blood pressure, hypertension stage 2, and hypertensive crisis. These beeps send alerts to the app that is contained by the medical professionals, therefore ensuring a much more reliable and faster way to detect injuries. This leads to benefits such as athletes not lying about their condition, less misdiagnosis, and faster detection. The wristband detects primarily intenal organ injuries, such as the brain and heart, because when those areas of the body get hurt, that is when blood pressure spikes in the human body. Our primary target is high school football as a lot of them do not have the medical technology to get the best diagnosis for their injuries. Also, high schoolers are most prone to injury and could have major consequences because their bodies are not fully developed yet. When our technology notices a player goes down and there is an abnormal spike in their blood pressure levels, medical professionals can take immediate action and treat a player. Football has one of the highest rates of head injuries amongst all sports, and a spike in blood pressure can indicate a head injury. This allows medical professionals to work at a more efficient pace and diagnose these football players more accurately. Our secondary market is the professional team sports sector, mainly the minor leagues, as they can help expand the product. The Vigil wristbands will primarily be sold in units of 10 for $499 to teams and organizations, but they can be sold in other packages too. Our solution is a new critical injury-detecting lightweight wristband that tracks blood pressure to confirm injuries as well as alert medical trainers and professionals of these injuries through an app specifically designed to detect and then safely assess these injuries to prevent athletes from hurting themselves even further.
