How do I envision Inspirit? Inspirit will be an organization idea that promotes job skills and self-confidence in neurodivergent people. The UN aims to reduce inequalities within and among countries. Inspirit will contribute to that goal by providing neurodivergent people with an opportunity for work training and experience. Today, one in 15 people are neurodivergent, and Inspirit will enable them to overcome prejudice by helping them to display their capabilities. What will make Inspirit unique? Existing hiring platforms for neurodivergent populations such as Microsoft’s Neurodiversity Connector claim to support neurodivergent job applicants, but do little beyond bringing employers and potential employees together online. In my vision of Inspirit, this organization will allow participants to receive training and work experience that will help them develop soft and hard skills, bolster self-confidence, and grow as a person. What will we do? After brainstorming several practical and effective methods Inspirit can achieve its mission of reducing neurodivergent inequality, I believe the following two services would best suit Inspirit’s needs: • An employee training program and work experience. ◦ By learning a role within an Inspirit owned enterprise, participants will prepare for on-the-job responsibilities and experience work life in action. They will start in a restaurant because food service offers many opportunities and calls upon many social skills. • A connecting service between neurodivergent participants and company employers wishing to hire. ◦ Inspirit will do more than linking employers and applicants. In addition to hosting online conversations, we will also host face-to-face meetings within the restaurant, fostering in-depth and organic connections. Not only can the employer see the applicant working in the restaurant, both parties will also develop concrete understandings of each other in real life.

As a high school student and a socially driven enthusiastic entrepreneur, I am empathetic to those around me, which makes me perceptive to the problems others are facing. My key strength lies in empathetic problem-solving, and I provide insightful and creative solutions to individuals. To support other organizations, I can recognize flaws in their systems and suggest potential ideas that are more appealing/efficient. Although I might not have the experience of other professional businessmen, I believe my perspective as a keen observer of human nature and of market opportunities can provide these organizations with reliable feedback through an unfiltered lens.
