IdeaGreenCycle – Smart Plastic Recycling App

GreenCycle is an innovative mobile platform that encourages and simplifies plastic recycling for both individuals and businesses. The app includes an interactive map showing nearby recycling bins and collection points, allowing users to easily locate where to dispose of different types of plastic. It features an educational section with video tutorials on how to properly sort plastic waste, and another section with articles and facts about ecological issues and solutions. This turns the app into a mobile education tool as well. For businesses such as producers, traders, and recyclers, the app offers a marketplace-like interface where they can share information about recyclable plastic materials (e.g. HDPE, LDPE, PET, etc.) and processing equipment, helping create a circular plastic economy. To motivate users, GreenCycle introduces a reward system: users earn digital eco-coins for each verified recycling action. These coins can be redeemed for bonuses such as discount coupons or eco-friendly products. By making recycling more accessible, informative, and rewarding, GreenCycle aims to significantly reduce plastic waste and increase awareness of ecological responsibility.
