Time management (set priorities)
Updated on: Feb 26, 2025
The Pomodoro technique is a proven method for efficient time management. This technique is based on the idea of dividing working time into fixed intervals of 25 minutes, followed by five-minute breaks. Four such intervals are followed by a longer break of 15 to 30 minutes. This structured approach promotes concentration and maintains motivation by preventing overwork and mental fatigue.
The Pomodoro technique is particularly beneficial for founders as it helps to break down large tasks into manageable chunks and ensures regular breaks, which are essential for long-term productivity and creativity. This method reduces the feeling of overwhelm and allows progress to be clearly recognised, which is particularly crucial in the early and often chaotic stages of starting a business. In addition, the flexibility of the technique allows it to adapt to different work rhythms and task types, making it an ideal tool for the dynamic environment of your life venture, or startup.
