2.8 The Idea Makes the Difference 
It is the quality of the idea that is the decisive factor – an idea 
that at the outset seemed crazy to almost everyone: only one 
type of tea and only in big packages. But this was not a whim 
or a passing fancy; it was a very carefully thought-out concept. The principle is to build from function instead of 
fol-lowing convention. If you systematically look for the 
factors that make a product like tea so expensive in 
Germany, you almost inevitably come up with this 
solution. Although it may seem strange, it does make 
sense because it cuts costs radically. The tea business as it is 
conventionally run appears to be normal only because this 
is what we are accustomed to. 
Gottlieb Duttweiler, the founder of Migros, the Swiss 
grocery chain, must have felt the same way. He was amazed 
at the high prices Zurich retailers were asking for their products. In 1925 he reported that Zurich housewives had to pay
three times as much for their purchases as what had been paid in 
the producing countries.5 Today this is true to an even greater 
extent; now the ratio is ten to one. Business costs account for 
nine tenths of the retail price. Thus, contrary to the generally 
accepted view, despite all the streamlining, the costs accruing to 
businesses have risen steeply, particularly due to the everincreasing expenditures for marketin

It is a library built in remote areas in the Philippines . AlDub Nation plans to continue this project through charity works and reselling of AlDub merchandise and also extend not only libraries but also scholarship programs to students. We will use the AlDub Nation support system and fans to garner sponsors for new schools and libraries. Every twitter trend will be a donation.
