ThermoStop is a climate-friendly innovation that transforms natural waste—such as eggshells, white clay, and local starch into an eco-friendly white paint. When applied to rooftops, it significantly reduces indoor temperatures by up to 7°C. Designed for hot, low-income areas, this solution helps fight extreme heat, recycles waste, empowers local youth through training, and strengthens the climate resilience of vulnerable communities.
CEC 2025 Participants
Ideas from CEC 2025 participants
From 1 August to 31 July, participants in the Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition had time to work on their ideas, develop them further, make contacts, exchange ideas in the campus community and collect votes for a month using our free courses and materials.
We are delighted to present the participants and their creative ideas even after the end of CEC 2025:

Volunteer Anytime. Volunteer Anywhere. VolunGo is a platform unlike any other. Instead of requiring users to search individually for nearby opportunities, it offers a seamless, map-based system that facilitates an interactive user experience. The map interface enables users to RSVP for volunteering events with a single click. Through this streamlined process, the platform benefits both users and local community organizations. Organizations can easily connect with potential volunteers, while users can participate in opportunities conveniently based on their location. Users can also contact NGOs directly, eliminating the need for cold emailing and allowing them to support causes they genuinely believe in quickly and accessibly. Moreover, the app's social media component enables users to earn civic credits, which reflect their volunteering activity and incentivize more frequent participation. With civic credits, users can make small purchases and use the in-app tracking of volunteer hours, total credit points, and overall impact to generate a certificate. This certificate can be used not only for college applications but also in professional contexts, such as job applications. Our goal is to create an interactive experience for all users, including the ability to add local events, with the aim of supporting new and growing non-profits and ultimately enabling everyone to volunteer anytime and anywhere.
PROJECT IS UNIMPLEMENTED SkillCycle is a peer-powered digital platform designed for young people from underserved communities to exchange skills, knowledge, and mentorship in a circular, non-monetary system. It functions like a "time bank" for skills: you teach something you know—such as graphic design, coding, or public speaking—in return for access to skills offered by others. This platform promotes peer empowerment, reduces educational inequalities, and fosters a sustainable learning community, all without financial barriers. It’s young people teaching one another, creating a ripple effect of self-sufficiency, creativity, and global solidarity.
Dorado is an AI-infused website that enables students from around the world to streamline the resume-building process for admission to top universities. It serves as a hub from which all extracurricular activities can be based, with AI assistants integrated throughout. Ultimately, we will offer superior services to those of admissions consultants for orders of magnitude less.
Billions of automotive tires are disposed every year and most of them end up in landfills. Tires are non-biodegradable and cannot be upcycled easily. However, tires contain unique materials and are considerably durable, resilient and strong. I propose to utilize the unique properties of tires to develop composites for construction applications specifically as supports during construction. Tires will provide the strength, resistance to moisture and resilience required for framework and other applications.
Inspirit is an organization dedicated to reducing employment inequality for neurodivergent people, and we achieve this by providing them with work training and experience, as well as connecting them with employers seeking to hire.
"Community Health Guardian" is a free app that collects anonymous user reports and hospital data to create an early warning system for infectious diseases spreading at the local level. App allows individuals to report their symptoms. AI lists potential illnesses related to the symptoms and suggests articles and resources regarding those illnesses. Users can get detailed information about illnesses (including symptoms, prevention, treatment) and get connected to free local health resources (such as testing or vaccination centers, clinics, health supply depots, and hospitals). "Community Health Guardian" will enhance health equity by ensuring that underserved communities have equal access to life-saving disease information and resources, preventing outbreaks and hospital overcrowding, and ultimately building stronger, healthier communities.
