What makes peer learning special?
Peer learning is an innovative approach that aims to develop your entrepreneurial skills through active exchange in a group. Here you not only learn knowledge, but also develop the entrepreneurial design for your venture in a structured way, as part of the learning community. Your fellow students become your sparring partners, with whom you develop your projects together, receive feedback and constantly grow.
What exactly is on offer?
The program consists of a series of peer learning modules in which you gradually develop your idea. This is how an entrepreneurial design is created that suits you perfectly, is economically viable and at the same time integrates ecological aspects (more about the curriculum here).
The Peer Learning Program can be conducted 100% online; however, we recommend personal exchange with your learning group at community meetings.
If the program is completed alongside your work or studies, it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year. For participants who focus on the learning projects full-time, it can realistically be completed in 3-6 months.
Participation in the program costs €50 for every 6 months. Alumni can continue to use the community and platform free of charge.
Your advantages:
- Personal responsibility and flexibility: Find your rhythm without fixed lectures or exams. Discover your optimal learning strategy and develop your self-organization.
- Entrepreneurship in focus: Develop your entrepreneurial thinking and acting. Through our challenges, you will develop both your entrepreneurial mindset (attitude, perspective) and the practical skills to implement ventures – as a founder, but also as an intrapreneur.
- Learning by doing: Each project is designed to give you directly applicable knowledge and practical skills. You work on tasks that prepare you step by step to found your own company.
- Community and teamwork: You don't learn alone – exchanging ideas in small learning groups, mutual feedback and evaluating the projects make learning more successful and exciting.
- Key Competencies & Learning to Learn: You develop key competencies such as communication skills, teamwork, self-organization and dealing with feedback. These skills are not only crucial for your professional future, they will accompany you throughout your life. The program not only promotes your initiative, but also teaches you how YOU learn independently and more effectively.
How does peer learning work?
You start with an onboarding that introduces you to the Learning Campus and best practices, and allows you to define your own personal (learning) goals for your participation. After that, you will move on to the curriculum, the learning projects, which build on each other and immerse you in entrepreneurial thinking and action. From developing ideas to proof of concept, you will develop your entrepreneurial design step by step (the complete work of art of your venture). At the end, you will not only have a finished concept in your hands, but you will also be ready to start your own business.
What's particularly exciting is that you will work on your entrepreneurial skills, which will also make you relevant for companies and startups. This will make you interesting for potential partners and employers – or you can start your own business right away!

Do you want to understand the approach and the content even better?
In the following, we explain how peer learning works in practice and what content you will develop in the curriculum:
How does peer learning work in concrete and step-by-step terms?
First of all, you work on each learning project at your own pace. In doing so, you explore the concepts and practices in a self-directed way and together with your peers, without traditional professors, trainers, lectures or exams. On the internet, you can find lectures on any topic from the best professors at the best universities. Your task is to find the best sources for your questions and interests, for your individual learning. This promotes your initiative and positive self-efficacy. And in the end, you are not only competent as an entrepreneur, but can learn anything you want to learn (see #LearningToLearn below).
Secondly, the emphasis on teamwork (#LearningTribes) and mutual feedback (#PeerReviews) enables the exchange of knowledge and skills and strengthens the community (#CommunityBuilding). In other words, the peer learning approach also trains your #social skills and your #communication skills. You will build up a wide range of contacts that together form our Entrepreneurship Campus Community, where you can continue learning and networking throughout your life.
Thirdly, the approach prepares students for the real world by teaching not only technical skills but also a practice-oriented attitude and social skills such as giving and receiving feedback. The model promotes a comprehensive humanistic education that focuses on self-efficacy (self-determination), lifelong learning and practical skills.
The approach aims to optimize learning by directly applying theoretical knowledge to specific problems, thereby bridging the gap between academic training and the real economic environment. By giving students the opportunity to work on “real” projects from a range of sectors, from small self-employed businesses and companies in retail or gastronomy to teams in large corporations, we not only promote entrepreneurial thinking but also offer valuable solutions for the economy. This way, qualified graduates can join companies directly.
This is how it works in practice: the peer learning process
- For each topic, there is a briefing that presents the concepts, core messages and questions in a compact format. You will need this to work on the learning project.
- For the aspects that interest you most or that you have not yet understood from the briefing, you can use further materials from our knowledge base.
- When you feel ready, take on the learning project. The learning projects are usually divided into two parts. There are exercises designed to practice the method or to solve a training task. Each project has a “learning by doing” main part, where you apply the respective competence to yourself or your concept-creative endeavor.
You are free to implement your projects within the scope of your time constraints. Our participants have the best experiences when they join a learning group with 2-3 learners. This helps you create a rhythm and a shared commitment to your learning progress. - Once you are ready with your project deliverable, you can sign up for a peer review. Peer reviews are the ultimate way to find out whether you have understood the concepts and methods and can apply them effectively. In contrast to exams in traditional educational institutions, peer reviews are mainly designed so that the reviewer and the presenter learn from each other and from the exchange, using the example of project implementation! The feedback from the reviewer at the end – whether it's good or needs to be revised – is only a formal aspect. Much more important is the exchange between peers, the qualitative feedback that the two students give each other.
The contents of the learning path
In total, the following 5 challenges await you on the learning path. Each challenge includes a briefing, recommended resources and the learning project:
- Onboarding - An introduction that should normally take 2-3 hours to get to know the Entrepreneurial Design approach and the specific functions and best practices of the peer learning environment.
- In line with your personality – with us, you start your learning journey with yourself and your strengths, potential and interests. In this learning challenge, you will reflect on your values and goals and use them to develop the first steps towards creating a concept for a venture that is perfectly suited to you. At the same time, you will define your working method to achieve optimal learning outcomes.
- Idea Development - now it's time to formulate several possible entrepreneurial ideas. At the end of the project, you will select your favorite idea as the basis for your entrepreneurial design.
- Entrepreneurial Design - is the central learning project in the curriculum. In this module, you learn to develop an entrepreneurial design from your promising idea. You define all the dimensions of your venture, test them again and again, and align them with each other.
- Proof of Concept - finally, you learn how to put your entrepreneurial design through its paces. This increases your chances of starting a successful long-term venture.
When you complete the Proof of Concept LernChallenge, you've made it! You will receive a digital certificate that you can use on LinkedIn, in your CV, or on your website, for example.
As soon as you are ready to present your Entrepreneurial Design, we invite you to the bonus project “Set Up Shop”. Here you will plan the specific details of setting up your business. This will ensure that you are fully prepared to turn your idea into reality.
Have we managed to get you excited about our disruptive, 100% learner-centered peer learning approach? We would be delighted to welcome you and your fellow students to the kick-off on November 30, 2024.
