Happy International Day of Friendship

July 30th marks the International Day of Friendship. This special day was proclaimed by the United Nations General Agency in 2011 and it aims at inspiring peace efforts and building bridges between different communities through the friendship between people from different cultures and backgrounds.
This idea takes more importance as the world is facing challenging times due to social, economic, and health crises that undermine peace among people.
The resolution on the International Day of Friendship gives special importance to the role of young people as change-makers, community activists, and future leaders.
The International Day of Friendship is an initiative that follows on the proposal made by UNESCO defining the Culture of Peace as a set of values, attitudes, and behaviors that reject violence and endeavor to prevent conflicts by addressing their root causes to solve problems.

Actions to Promote a Culture of Peace
foster a culture of peace through education;
promote sustainable economic and social development;
promote respect for all human rights;
ensure equality between women and men;
foster democratic participation;
advance understanding, tolerance, and solidarity;
support participatory communication and the free flow of information and knowledge;
promote international peace and security.

The Entrepreneurship Campus celebrates this day with all its members from every corner of the world, who during the years have shown their commitment to helping build a peaceful world through their ideas, projects, and commitment to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
